Cost is the number one deterrent that causes patients to skip their regular dental appointments. At Lovell Dental, we don’t want worries about pricing to cause you to miss out on the dentistry services you need to look and feel your best. For this reason, our Lovell dentist and team members are happy to process and file dental insurance claims for the majority of PPO benefit plans. In order to further minimize the out of pocket costs of dental care, we are happy to offer in-network coverage for many insurance plans, including United Concordia. If you have a dental insurance policy through United Concordia or any other PPO provider, please let one of our knowledgeable team members know when you call to schedule your first appointment. We work with dental benefits providers on a daily basis, so we have the expertise necessary to help you maximize coverage and minimize out of pocket costs.
Each person’s dental insurance plan from United Concordia will be unique to the individual, so in order to offer an accurate estimate of the out of pocket costs of treatment, we’ll need to review your policy. However, most plans provide the greatest amount of coverage for preventive dentistry services, between 80 and 100%, to keep your smile healthy and avoid more advanced oral health concerns that receive a lower percentage of treatment coverage. Minor restoration services like fillings are usually covered between 70 and 80%, and more advanced treatments like dental crowns or replacement teeth are covered 50 to 70%.
As an in-network dentist, we are familiar with the plans available from United Concordia and the treatments they cover. We also have agreements with United Concordia that ensure our pricing for specific services fall within the maximum fee set by the insurer. Out of network offices may charge higher fees, but you’ll be responsible for the out of pocket percentage of treatment costs as well as any difference in pricing between the plan’s allowed cost and that charged by the dentist. While the difference is usually minimal, visiting an in-network office ensures you will not have to worry about these additional costs.
