MetLife offers two types of plans.
The first is a group dental plan offered through employers. With the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans, you choose from a large network of dentists, of which Dr. Anderson is a participant.
As a MetLife in-network dentist in Lovell, Dr. Anderson has agreed to accept negotiated fees for covered services. These usually run between 30 to 45 percent less than the average fees charged by other dentists in Lovell.
Not only do you receive quality care with dental insurance in Lovell, but also customer service. As an in-network provider, Dr. Anderson will submit your claim forms for you. This way you can be certain that you are receiving the maximum allowable benefits for a covered procedure.
The second type of plan MetLife offers is called Take Along Dental. As the name suggests, this plan comes with you even if you change jobs. You can purchase the plan on your own or through an employer. Similar to the PPO, Take Along Dental offers fees below average when you see an in-network dentist such as Dr. Anderson.
Most MetLife dental insurance plans cover preventive dentistry at 100 percent. This includes dental cleanings and exams, as well as annual digital X-rays. Other services that may be partially covered include fillings, dentures, sealants, orthodontics, crowns, extractions, and root canals. Like most other dental insurance carriers, MetLife does not cover cosmetic dentistry.
While dental insurance plans differ somewhat in the details, they do have some common features. For example, did you know that your dental insurance benefits expire at the end of a calendar year? That means if you want to enjoy the full value of your plan—and literally get your money’s worth out your premiums—then you and your family should be sure to use all of your benefits by scheduling regular checkups with the dentist in Lovell. Any benefits that are not used are simply lost.
Secondly, you need to satisfy a deductible. This is the set amount of money you must spend before MetLife begins to participate in paying for your dental care. In addition, you’ll have a copay that will be required at the time of service. This amount depends on the type of service you’re receiving. Our front office will be glad to let you know how much you’ll owe at the time you schedule your appointment.
